My 11 year old hadn’t touched the sewing machine in over a year, I think. We saw these cute silverware pockets for sale, and I asked her if she thought she could make them. She figured she could, and she did a great job. They’re really pretty on our table, and were really easy to make.

I am new to sewing and need some help. I have a singer 3.4 overlock machine and want to know how to do a simple hem, I understand the blind hem but what about the hem you would use on a t-shirt type thing?

I WAS GIVEN A SINGER TOUCH & SEW DELUXE ZIC ZAG MODEL 750
SEWING MACHINE AND I SO DESPERATELY WANT TO LEARN HOW TO ADJUST IT, IT WAS SEWING OKAY, UNTIL I DECIDED TO CHANGE THE THREAD OUT, AND NOW THE BOBBIN JUSTS JAMS UP THE THREAD AND WILL NOT SEW.
I AM USED TO A MUCH OLDER SEWING MACHINE SO I AM HOPING THAT SOMEONE CAN TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG . I GUESS THIS MODERN MACHINE HAS ME FRUSTRATED, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS, AS I AM STUCK RIGHT NOW WITH A BOBBIN THAT JAMS UP WITH KNOTED THREAD.
    THANKS, MELVA StandnOnPromises@aol.com
