Here’s a video tutorial on how to insert your bobbin in that mechanical Singer sewing machine and get the thread raised to start sewing.

Hey, look what I found: Videos on the SingerCo site that feature their various presser feet.

There are a number of presser feet featured, with different videos for different uses on some feet. I can’t hear anything, is it my system or do these old vids not have a sound track?

They annoyingly posted them for QuickTime (I hate how QuickTime tries to take over my machine, like this time it said that some MIME type was assigned to another program -duh, I hate QT). However, I suspect I’ll be happy that the Sew and Surge foot video is posted. I recently bought the product and am looking for a chance to try it out.

You can also shop for the right Singer presser foot on my site ;) .

This video features the Singer 3343c, but it’s pretty much standard for all the manual threading machines.

Hope that helps.

I’m working on more tutorials. The first two are already uploaded to Google Video.

Although I originally posted the first one on YouTube as well, I was spammed within one week by ickly people, so I deleted my account. I’ve since also posted the video on Yahoo Video and AOL’s video posting as well. I still need to post the second one on those systems.

Update: Since Google took over YouTube, the spam is easy to report. I have opened a channel with these videos on YouTube. Username SewMarm. You can subscribe here to my RSS, or to my YouTube channel.

Please let me know what other tutorials are really important for you to get going on your Singer sewing machine.
