Using your Button Sew On Presser Foot
As you can see, the foot looks like a stubby open toed foot. Mine is a screw on foot, though my machine is a slant shank with the ability to snap on Singer presser feet. The button sew on foot that came with mine is plastic, which is fine. The feed cover plate is also plastic, which makes it a bit flimsy. Maybe I'll get a metal feed cover plate some day.
Using this presser foot is pretty easy. I also posted how to sew on buttons using this method on the WikiHow site. I've made a video of how to sew on a button using this presser foot. You can view the tutorial video in our sewing machine blog post. Singer also has videos of using the button sewing foot for all sorts of interesting applications and crafts on their Presser feet support page.
